Patients with an HMO may require a referral from their primary care physician before being able to be seen, these plans include Blue Care Network and HAP HMO.
Yes, we are able to offer vision and medical eye exam services to children over the age of 8. Children, under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and should be able to understand the alphabet to read the eye chart.
Laser vision correction is only available for patients over the age of 18.
Laser Eye Institute is open Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
No, all exams are by-appointment only, in some instances we have same-day or next-day appointments available. Patients who have had an eye exam and are interested in purchasing glasses or contact lenses do not require an appointment.
Generally speaking - no. If you are an existing patient at Laser Eye Institute and experience an eye emergency contact our office and we will advise you accordingly depending on the type of injury or trauma.
If you are a new patient, we are unable to offer emergency eye care and suggest contacting Beaumont Eye Institute, or Beaumont Royal Oak Emergency Room as they are equipped to handle eye-related emergencies and Beaumont’s Emergency Room has ophthalmologists on call.

It depends on the type of service or procedure. All exam services are completed in office. Laser vision correction is performed in office at our dedicated laser suite. Cataract Surgery and ICL procedures are performed at Cataract Surgery Specialty Center in Berkley, Michigan.
