Laser Eye Institute is open for all patients and appointments. We are committed to comply with all state and federal rules to ensuring the safety of our patients and team.

During Michigan’s “3-Week Pause” from November 18th to December 8th we will continue to operate as permitted by MDHHS.

  • We are maintaining our normal hours:
    • Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Saturday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Appointments are available for all visits including:
    • Vision Exams
    • Medical Eye Exams
    • LASIK & SMILE Laser Vision Correction
    • Cataract Surgery
  • Our Physicians are still available remotely for telemedicine visits.
  • Our Optical Center is open for your glasses & contact lens needs.

Patient Safety Information

Ensuring the safety of our patients and team members is our top priority. We’ve updated our policy, procedure, and clinic to ensure patient visits are safe.

Safe Check-In: Our patient arrival and check-in process is contact-less. Lobby seating has been arranged so all seating ensures 6-feet of separation between patients. Patients may optionally wait in their vehicle for their appointment to begin.

Mask & Protective Equipment: All patients and team members are required to always wear a mask, undergo a contact-less temperature check, and sanitize their hands upon entering the clinic.

Social Distancing: Measures to ensure the safe distancing have been put into place including the reconfiguration of equipment, social distancing floor indicators, and all seating to ensure social distancing; including team-member only areas.

Increase Cleaning & Disinfection Protocol: Patient visit times have been extended to allow all equipment to be thoroughly disinfected and cleaned between each patient visit. Additionally, all clinical team members wear latex gloves that are replaced after each disinfection.

Protective Barriers: Custom-built protective barriers have been installed at all points of the patient experience to place a physical barrier between patient and clinician. This includes all physical and diagnostic exam points.

Increased Air Filtration: All air handling units have HEPPA filters and UV sterilizers. Building air filters now run 24/7 to sanitize the air. Additionally, all rooms are equipment with UV air sterilizers.

A Safer Optical Experience: All handled eyeglasses are sanitized before being placed on display. Collection bins have been placed to return touched / handled eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sanitized.

We believe that safety, results, and experience help us bring you and your loved ones a standard of excellent care. For over 30 years, we’ve been privileged to serve the Metro-Detroit community while it is impossible to know how long this crisis will last, I know our community will persevere.

As we continue to navigate this pandemic, we have invested heavily re-engineering our entire patient process and workflow to enable us to care for our patients with increased safety, results, and experience we are known for across this great country.
