LASIK Coverage For EyeMed Insurance

Laser Eye Institute participates with EyeMed vision insurance to LASIK, SMILE and PRK laser vision correction benefits to Michigan EyeMed insurance members.

If you have EyeMed vision insurance you are eligible to receive preferred rates across all laser vision correction treatments (LASIK, SMILE, and PRK) at Laser Eye Institute.

EyeMed provides a benefit for Laser Eye Surgery in the form of a pre-negotiated rate with Laser Eye Institute for all members. This translates into a 15% discount on our standard rate, or a 5% discount off our lowest available discounted rate. You’ll receive the larger of the two discounts. Resulting in the lowest available price across all laser vision correction treatments (LASIK, SMILE, or PRK)

Who Is Eligible

Every EyeMed members receive preferred rates for laser vision correction, no matter which specific plan they have. EyeMed provides vision insurance that’s often bundled with medical insurance plans from Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Priority Health. EyeMed also sells individual plans, which you can purchase directly or through your employer.

If you are unsure if you have EyeMed, call the phone number on the back of your medical insurance card, or ask your HR department (if your insurance is provided through your employer)

How To Use Benefit

Simply present your EyeMed member card or member information during your consultation to receive the EyeMed member rate. You may print your EyeMed member ID card from the EyeMed Web portal, or provide us with the last four digits of your social security number, date of birth, and zip code to locate your EyeMed member ID.

To start, schedule a consultation and find out if you qualify for LASIK, SMILE, or PRK laser vision correction. You may schedule by calling 248-689-2020 or online by selecting Schedule An Appointment on our website. When completing your patient registration please indicate you have EyeMed as your vision insurance plan.
