On October 5, 2018, the FDA announced Premarket Approval for ReLex SMILE treatment for patients with astigmatism. Dr. Haddad was the first surgeon in Michigan to perform this state of the art procedure, and we’re excited that now more patients will be able to have this treatment! SMILE is bladeless and flapless, and utilizes our high-precision femptosecond laser, the Visumax, to create a lenticule inside the cornea and access the treatment area all in one step.

We’ve been waiting patiently to announce this news, but we can’t wait any more! Worldwide, more than 1.5 MILLION successful SMILE treatments have already been performed.
