Dr Jennifer J Shaba of Detroint Michigan Dr. Shaba is a TPA/DPA certified Optometrist in the examination, diagnosis and medical treatment of vision correction and ocular disease. As a Michigan native, she discovered an intrest in Optometry while studying at Oakland University and Wayne State University. Dr. Shaba graduated with A Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences with honors.

While an undergraduate student Dr.Shaba was selected from a very competitive pool of applicants to be involved in Oakland University Eye Research Institute and Vision Science Lecture scholarship program.

Dr.Shaba was accepted with early admission and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from The Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. Her Clinical Optometric Rotation Sites and training were completed at John D.Dingell Detroit Vetaran Affairs Medical Center in Detroit, MI, Great Lakes Eye Care, WOW Vision Therapy Centers in St.Joseph, MI, and Boling Vision Center in Indiana. Upon graduation, Dr.Shaba was recognized as the sole recipient Award of Excellence COVD Plaque in Clinical Skills in the area of Pediatrics and Vision Therapy.

Dr.Shaba is and active member in American Optometric Association and Michigan Optometric Association. She is fluent in English, Arabic and Chaldean. Dr. Shaba is dedicated to the eye care field and will customize a treatment and management plan that delivers the highest quality of patient care. She truly enjoys answering any questions spending the extra time to educate patients in understanding exactly what the exam findings are and what the future treatment plans will be.
